Getting Started

This is the beginning a blog life. For those already caught up in this, you have the advantage. But for a newbie, this is an adventure. So we shall see if I can stick with it.

You might wonder why this is called The Way. It is simple. Jesus is the way. That is how salvation and believing in Jesus was referred to in the Bible - as the Way. I hope this blog can provide the Way for anyone who reads it.

The Bible says salvation is the beginning and sanctification is the process. It is how God grows us. Think of a rope and you tie a knot. By grabbing the rope at the knot, you have the same rope but it is shorter. That is how God draws us closer and closer. Each knot is a behavior or a sin that has separated us from God. When God removes that sin the rope gets shorter and we draw closer.

Let me know the knots God has tied in your life and how it has drawn you closer to Him. He is the Way.

Greetings from San Jose. Here I sit in the home of an Atheist. It doesn't feel that much different. It has walls, furniture and dogs. But they don't believe in God. Everything is random, there is no truth except that which you can touch and replicate. Sounds boring to me.

Have you ever talked to an atheist? Try it some time. They have a lot of faith that what they believe is right. It is actually quite humorous to think about it. "Let me convince you that there is no God. I have faith that it is true. Why don't you?"

Sigh. Their god is themselves. Read in the OT the story of the Philistines and their God Dagon. He kept falling over in the presence of the Ark of the Covenant. The Philistines could not believe their god could not stand up to God. It is a very humorous story.
