By now the reality of the election has begun to settle in and 50% of the population has to wonder what the next four years will be like. Unfortunately, the remaining 50% have no idea either. What we do have is a lot of uncertainty during a time of great turmoil and economic concern.
So will every able bodied member of society have to spend 3 months in civilian training? That should be interesting. Will 95% of the population get a tax cut? Will those whose incomes are less than $250,000 receive the benefits? I am guessing that America will learn once again the power of campaign promises. They sound great during the campaign but when reality strikes, they will be forgotten.
The one indicator I am most concerned about is the Democratic formula for disaster during the depression. Raise taxes, increase regulation. We are ripe for both and it is likely both will happen. One has to wonder if the results will be the same, a deepening of our economic woes.
Meanwhile, what should we do, those of us who have no say in the decisions or the outcomes. Work hard. Concentrate on the basics. Don't take any unnecessary risks. Don't overextend your obligations. And most of all pray.

As we pray, let's listen to what God says through His Word. Scripture says much about the judicial and economic issues facing Obama. Biblical standards regarding justice and the economy are summarized here: http://tinyurl.com/5ljsm4
